Audi, Volkswagen & Other Import FFVs Flex Fuel Vehicles
Several European brands offered narrow flex-fuel windows in the U.S. that deserve mention. Audi produced flex-fuel B8.5-generation 2.0L TFSI vehicles — the A4, A5, allroad, and Q5 — between 2013 and 2017. Not every 2.0T from this generation was an FFV; check the fuel-door label. No A6, A3, Q3, or Q7 was a U.S. factory FFV. Volkswagen offered exactly one flex-fuel vehicle in the U.S.: the 2011–2013 Routan minivan, which was a badge-engineered Chrysler Town & Country running the 3.6L Pentastar V6. No Jetta, Golf, Tiguan, Passat, or Atlas was ever a factory FFV.
Jaguar and Land Rover offered flex-fuel on the XF, XJ, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport from roughly 2013 to 2015 with 3.0L supercharged and 5.0L supercharged V8 engines. Bentley produced flex-fuel Continental GT and Flying Spur models with the 6.0L W12 from 2011–2015. Saab offered a flex-fuel 9-5 with the 2.0L turbo for a single model year in 2011 while under GM ownership. Mitsubishi produced one U.S. FFV, the Raider 4.7L V8 for 2008–2009, which was a badge-engineered Dodge Dakota. Isuzu offered the Hombre 2.2L pickup as an FFV from 2000–2001 (a rebadged Chevy S-10). BMW, Honda, Acura, Hyundai, Genesis, Kia, Subaru, Porsche, and Lexus have produced no factory FFVs for the U.S. market.

Audi, Volkswagen & Other Import FFVs-specific E85 tips
Audi FFV status is within-generation specific.
Only B8.5 2.0T models from 2013 onward were FFVs, and even within that group, many manual-transmission cars lacked flex-fuel certification. Check the fuel-door label first.
Routan E85 behavior matches Chrysler Town & Country.
Parts, diagnostics, and service are identical to the FCA minivan, so independent shops familiar with Chrysler products can support it.
Jaguar and Land Rover FFVs are rare and premium-priced.
The supercharged V8 FFVs are enthusiast vehicles; expect higher service costs even on E85, and verify with the "F" in the 8th VIN digit.
No BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, or Porsche is a U.S. FFV.
Any E85 use in these brands requires aftermarket conversion. Do not fill with E85 on a whim — fuel-system damage is a real risk on non-FFV fuel hardware.
